Jessicurl Review + Giveaway

  I recently tried some new products c/o Jessicurl to review and I was very excited to try them. As I was talking to the Jessicurl founder, Jessica, I was explaining to her that I am in search for my "perfect" wash-n-go. So these products best suit my hairs wash -n-go needs. * DISCLAIMER: This post is sponsored my Jessicurl and the products for myself and the raffle were given to me for this review. However, my review is still my honest opinion of the products.

 Yesterday was wash day for me and many of you know I have a specific was day method, so I just incorporated the Jessicurl products into my normal regimen. Jessicurl products are arranged in 3 steps;  Cleanse, Condition and Style. For cleansing I have the Hair Cleansing Cream. Conditioning; I have the Deep Conditioning Treatment. And for style, I have the Spiralicious Styling Gel. All of the Jessicurl products come in either the scent Island Fantasy, Citrus Lavender (my fav) or no scent. So here's what I did step by step:


1. Soaked my hair in the shower and used the Jessicurl Hair Cream Cleanser, which retails for $16.95, in the scent Island Fantasy (which smells amazing). It's described as a mild and moisturizing alternative cleanser and is free of sulfates.I used about a 1/4 cups size amount on my ROOTS only and rinsed.
Results: My hair didn't feels dry or stripped and there was no reside build up afterwards, which is a plus for me. Overall I really enjoyed the product.

2. I applied the Jessicurl Deep Treatment Conditioner, which retails for $16.95, in the scent Citrus Lavender (lovely smell as well). I generously applied the conditioner to my hair, detangled and let sit. The directions say leave in for 30-60 minutes but I left it in for about 25-30 minutes. It is recommended to sit under a heated dryer to maximize conditioner absorption but I didn't.
Results: The conditioner did leave my hair soft and moisturized, however, I do wish it had more of a slip and was a bit thicker ( I just like thick conditioner). But other people may think it's fine, just my preference.

3. I applied some of the Deep Conditioning Treatment as a leave in conditioner and worked through small - medium sections of my hair and applied the Spiralicious Gel. I will say that because this is a gel I was expecting it to have more of a gel texture, like Eco Styler, but I was more like a leave in texture. I went through each section SMOOTHING the gel on my hair with flat hands and finger curled my ends where necessary. After my hair dried (50-50 air dry & blow dried) I scrunched a little black castor oil into my ends.
Results: I was pleasantly surprised with this products because I like nice strong holds for my wash and go styles. I did mix the Spiralicious gel with my Eco style around the edges and on some parts of the front and sides of my hair for more definition. But as my hair dried I LOVED it, it looked amazing. This was on of the best wash -n- go's I've every had. And I achieved 2nd day hair. I can barely get second day hair with my wash -n- go's but this is is the first product I've tried that's made my 2nd day hair look like 1st day hair. The hold was good, not to crunchy and it was soft. I was amazed!

Overall I really enjoyed the Jessicurl products and would absolutely recommend to my curly friends.
