Dating in 2015
As a 24 1/2 year old young woman dating in 2015, it gets very interesting at times. I've come across countless "interesting" situations, and when I say interesting I mean INTERESTING! But the one thing I never forgot was that God has an amazing man for me and it's only a matter of time before we meet. And it got to the point where I had to surrender my entire dating life over to God because he is the original matchmaker and I wanted to be with the person he created for me.
I learned to Trust the Lord in every situation I was in. There was one person in particular that I was "talking" to and after a couple of days I just got a bad feeling about this guy. It was feeling deep in my gut that just kept telling me something wasn't right about this guy. And I can remember one day calling my friend and telling him about the guy but mentioned the feeling I was getting. And I remember him telling me if you ever get that feeling, always go with your gut because it's usually right. So a day or two later I ended up figuring out what was wrong, he just wanted to have sex, and I immediately cut him off, I have no time for games lol. And time after time again it's been the same feeling in my gut and I knew it was the Lord protecting me.
I know as women we dream of being married and having children and sometimes we want that so bad we begin to compromise. We settle for simple joe, with no job, no car and no Jesus! We settle for convenience and end up miserable. That's not God's best for your life, you are a Queen and deserve to be treated like one. You deserve to be told how beautiful you are everyday. You deserve random flowers just because and to be happy! That's God's best for your life, so believe for God's best.
If I could give advice to any young woman out there dating I would say if you get that gut feeling that something is not right about the guy you're dating, then you need to leave that situation alone. Don't stick around and wait to see what it is, tell him thanks but no thanks. Those warning signs are from the Lord and he is clearly trying to protect you from something, he knows whats best for you.
Also don't just settle God has a GOOOOOOOD man waiting for you. When I say good man I mean exceedingly abundantly above all you can even ask or think man! A man beyond your wildest dreams and you won't have to compromise to keep him either! If God can do it for me, he can absolutely do it for you! :)
